Magnattack is an 8-bit 2D side-scrolling survival game in which you control the powerful Magnaship to fend off the evil invading forces of Roboton! The game features a silly and humorous storyline wrapped around an easy to pick up but hard to master style of gameplay.
The game was fully developed from scratch using C and the Windows console.
Roles: Lead Designer, Systems, File I/O, UI Programming, 2D Artist
- Developed the game concept and core mechanics
- Developed varied enemy designs, each with its unique behaviours and attributes
- Envisioned the game flow and storyline from start to end
- Set up the base foundation for the game engine including File I/O, Audio, Game State Manager, etc.
- Created all the art assets for the game
